Lake City Ice Climbing Festival – February
Lake City’s Ice Climbing Festival is a terrific, low-key event for those looking to escape the chaos of the popular resort towns. Spend the weekend in a winter wonderland with various activities amongst the friendly Hinsdale County locals.
This year’s festivities will be held on Saturday, February 1st, 2025. Imagine standing against a big beautiful blue ice-covered wall watching the best climbers scale up it. It might seem overwhelming for beginners, but those who seek the thrill of climbing will appreciate the challenge or at least spectating others.

Loveland Sweetheart Festival – February
What better way to celebrate this most romantic time of the year, than with the 7th Loveland Sweetheart Festival? Spend Valentine’s Day in America’s Sweetheart City with celebrations happening in the downtown historic district.
The exact date is Friday to Saturday, February 14th to 15th, 2025. The festival is an extension of a long-time tradition of celebrating couples and loved ones with the Loveland Sweetheart Classic 4-mile race. The festival will be held in the new Foundry Plaza and features something for everyone.

Winter Carnival – Steamboat Springs | February
Every winter the Yampa Valley lights up whenever the first ice blocks arrive in downtown Steamboat Springs signifying that the Winter Carnival is near. They rest patiently street-side, waiting to be sculpted for the 112th annual event.
This five-day cold-weather affair covers everything from horse-pulled skiers to a torched run down from mid-mountain. The Winter Carnival parties are from Wednesday to Sunday, February 5th to 9th, 2025.
Colorado Motorcycle Expo – Denver | January
Running since 1978, the Colorado Motorcycle Expo is not only the largest motorcycle show in the Rocky Mountains but also the largest indoor swap meet in America. Join over 20,000 motorcycle enthusiasts for live music, tattoo competitions, and, of course, plenty of motorcycles.
Taking place at the National Western Complex on Saturday and Sunday, February 1st to 2nd, 2025, the 46th annual expo is ideal for those looking to buy and sell custom components. There are also over a dozen competitions worth thousands of dollars of prizes. And if you don’t yet own a motorcycle, you can check out the used bike corral on the lower floor of the expo.
A family event, there is face painting, a coloring contest, and even a Sasquatch hunt for kids. Boasting an overwhelming number of vendors, the expo offers everything from self-defense lessons and motorcycle wear to leather and collectibles. You’ll also find food and drink aplenty, so the whole family can make a day of it.
